Here are a handful of tasteful photos of the Fremont Solstice Parade. I am pretty conservative... so those handful of times I see the Fremont Solstice Parade full of naked bicyclists I get pretty embarrassed. This year I had a front row seat with a whole group of great friends! Oh MY... those painted cyclists were so entertaining! There were hundreds of them... most were stark naked... but with all the paint.. you weren't always sure. I was smiling and laughing most of the time... unless I was agast at some of the views. I love the way I always seem to fit in any crowd in Seattle.... whether it is an event at the top of the Columbia Center... to a naked parade in the "center of the universe."

The wind was perfect.. a gentle breeze so we sailed gracefully out in Puget Sound just west of Shilshole Marina. Oh it is such a cliche... the breeze blowing through my locks, the sweet smell tingling my nose, the sound of the sail readjusting as we come about.... but it is so fun and memorable. It has been several years since I have been out with Captain Mike! Maureen and I had a great time!

For many years I was one of the Mom's sitting in the bleachers watching my son play baseball from T-ball to Little League. I have a photo album full of action shots of Colin.
At 26 years old he is back at home base with a wood bat in a mens city league. This is serious baseball with fast pitching over the 80mph mark. One line drive to first base Colin's bad broke.. that was so cool. Here he is at bat. Come to some of the games and cheer him on!

As a volunteer tour guide for the Seattle Architectural Foundation, I lead walking tours of downtown Seattle. Here are some photos of me this summer leading the Art Deco tour.
This is a photo of Roberta giving the same tour in May. It was interesting listening to her stories and how she weaves in different parts of history into her tour. I used to lead tours as a team with her quite when I started about two years ago.

My backyard is a little garden that I have been tending over the years. It is hidden back behind the house backing up to the woods and has a fantastic view of the lake. This year I decided on a garden party and barbeque in the yard and the weather cooperated! I had a nice group of good friends come. I feel blessed for all my friends... those that were there to hug me and those that sent their best wishes.
